The Center for Disease Control has issued a medical alert about a highly contagious, potentially dangerous virus that is transmitted orally, by hand, and even electronically. This virus is called Weekly Overload Recreational Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from your boss, any of your colleagues or anyone else via any means whatsoever – DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! This virus will wipe out your private life entirely. If you should come into contact with WORK you should immediately leave the premises.
Take two good friends to the nearest liquor store and purchase one or both of the antidotes – Work Isolating Neutralizer Extract (WINE) and Bothersome Employer Elimination Rebooter (BEER). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.
You should immediately forward this medical alert to five friends. If you do not have five friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

Jamz :
Dear Chilakak,
I recently met a guy in a club and was interested in him. He works there. During one of his breaks, he came over to my table for a chat where my friends dropped hints of my interest. We exchanged numbers and I texted him a few days later asking him out.
He replied he was busy and will text me back later in the week. I waited. He hasn’t text me yet. I feel like I’m sure a failure. Can you help me please?
IMHO :
Dear Jamz,
Don’t worry about it. Just be cool. Go back to the club with your bunch of friends. Have fun. Don’t establish eye contact with him. Pretend his actions has no effect on you.
Jamz :
Dear Chilakak,
Thank you. He approached us and apologised for not replying citing work commitment. We had some fun dancing and drinking. But at one part, he kissed me despite me saying “NO!”. It was a passionate kiss even though I kept pushing him off. He thought I was just playing. We left it at that and I left with my friends. The next day, I texted him saying I was not comfortable with his actions and wanted to get to know him better before things proceed that far. I’m not the usual innocent naive type of girl. Believe me, I’ve put it out far sooner before. But I’m a changed person now. I need a proper relationship. Help…
IMHO :
Dear Jamz,
His actions showed what type of person he is already. Don’t waste your time with jerks like this. I’m sure some people might advise you to report sexual harassment, but seeing your condition at the time, the cops will probably throw the case out of the window. Fuck that. If you want to give him the benefit of your doubt, I suggest the next time you meet him, let it be at a place that he is unfamiliar with. This way, he is less likely to act foolish and keep his manners in check.
Take your time. Get to know each other. Resist your peer pressure. Do not succumb to the callings of the flesh however lustful you are. If you really are horny, we at Chilakak.com will gladly assist in providing you some relief.
Jokes aside, be who you are and what your parents raise you to be. Use your common sense and you’ll most likely to avoid the heartaches. Be patient, your prince will come. Good luck!

The hostess was pretty friendly and tried her best to answer our questions in her heavily indian accent. Nothing serious, just what kind of food and whats the best selling dish, stuff like that.
We were seated before you can finish saying “life is like a box of chocolates, you’ll never know what you are going to get”. I like the deco. It reminded me of Dave’s Deli with its rock and roll memorabilia. You don’t need me to tell you what kind of theme right?
We were handed the menu and the waiter started us off with some simple instructions.
First, if we need their attention, change the sign to…
Service please…
If we don’t need them, change it to…
He then proceeded to ask for our choice of drinks. On his recommendation, I ordered the Mango Sparkler. dW loves mango, so I figured if this sample is ok, at least when we go there again, I’ll know what to order for her.

As the waiter went to fetch our drinks, we went through the menu in the hope something jumps out from it to turn us on. By the way, the items listed in the menu online does not reflect the actual menu. Outdated? Probably. Either that or the real menu has been tailored to suit local tastebuds.
dColl and I was turned on by

The garlic bread is amazing. Honestly, feed me the garlic bread alone and I’ll die happy. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside with a hint of garlic. Heaven!!
Amidst bitching about work, we forked spags and prawns into our mouths like we have not eaten in a week. We finish within 10 minutes.

Whats the damage? Two dish + two drinks = RM95
Yes, it is indeed on the pricey side. Trust me though, the food and ambience is worth it. Oh! During lunch, people watching is fun too. SYTs everywhere.

My first impression of the place was, “hey! this place looks boring.” Being too used to places with themes and decos, Yuen looks pretty boring to me.
4 walls. Tables and chairs and a cashier counter. With more than a dozen stools outside, I think we can safely assume that the line will be pretty long come dinner time.
We attacked the buffet line as soon as we were seated. First on the menu was of course the famous…..
IMHO, its nothing to shout about. Deep fried some chicken wings, pour tons of teriyaki sauce on it. Done!
Service was pretty good. Prompt and proactive, we rarely need to offer the world a whiff of our underarms.
Food variety was great! Fishballs of various kinds, my favourite razor clams and whatever other shell fish you can name as well as the usual seafood. One thing I have to say, Yuen is not stingy on the expensive items.
Except for the chicken wings, everything was was reloaded promptly.
As usual, I judge a restaurant by the state its toilets are. Glad to say, I didn’t feel icky when I visited it. Well lit and tons of water. Good air flow too. Not bad.
I’ve been told the other steamboat restaurants in the area serves tastier meal but people still go to Yuen due to its vast variety and price. We can’t verify that until we’ve tried it all. Maybe the other owners would like to invite us to do a review on them. As for now, Yuen is a good place for camaradie and a huge big bang for your buck.

Speaking about partner, I heard the security expert from Kaspersky is very handsome. Yes! Look at the picture below. Found it from an Indonesia IT magazine, CHIP. Could he be your partner? (editted: Mr. Alex Ng, is the security expert for Kaspersky)

Being a KLPac Virgin so-called, it was my first time being into the vicinity of the place. The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac), or PentasSeni KL, is a not-for-profit company dedicated to the practice of traditional and contemporary performing arts, as well as education and community outreach.
Situated at the Sentul Park, Jalan Strachan (Off Jalan Ipoh), I reached there just in time for the concert to begins. The sun already set by the time I reached thus I couldn’t comment much about the place.

WVC Trio + 1 @ KLPac
By 8.30pm, the Pentas hall was filled with the audience that range from all walks of life. I could see as young as 8 to the elderly. Music knows no boundaries. In this concert, I witness the premiere of many new compositions by Tay Cher Siang (the pianist), Vincent Ong (the bassist), and Adam Osmianski (the percussionist). This concert will also feature the Malaysian Man in New York, Julian Chan on Saxophone.
Among all the composition, I fell in love with “Standing in the rain at Berkeley Street” (if I am not mistaken), “Strolling in One Town” which Tay was referring to Bandar Utama and the “Cherish the Siamese Twin”. The CD which WVC Trio had the recording of the composition was selling like hot cakes which totally sold out.
Overall, the price paid is worthy. Simply said, AWESOME.
For those who missed it, they can opt for another local event, Let’s Go to Mamak Again, which last year the similar production “Let’s Go to Mamak” bagged 4 awards from the 7th BOH Cameronian Arts Award 2008.
